Three people standing in line.
Casual glances and smiles.
Their shoes, their hair, their clothes,
the way they stand, the way they sit, where they stare.
Why are they here? Where have they been?
Assumptions and questions,
never confirmed nor answered.
So why don’t they speak?
The brief moment of silent exchange ends quickly,
and they leave to continue their journey.
The question is left hanging; where are they going?
Since he left I have had this unusual feeling,
But all of this thought I’ve just been concealing.
I’ve been wearing a mask,
I put up my shields.
Hiding emotions,
I keep my lips sealed.
So what is my secret?
If you want to know,
It started when I first saw his eyes glow.
I’m in love with a guy that would give me the world.
He’s sweet, and kind, and it keeps my toes curled.
He’s a hassle to handle and talks way to much,
but he can make me go crazy just with one touch.
When were together there’s never enough time,
whether we’re happy, or sad, or partners in crime.
Some say we’re aggressive,
but they don’t understand.
We’ve got our own groove and we’ll never be bland.
There’s so much more I could say about this,
but I’d rather sit back and just reminisce.
This thing called love that I’ve proved to exist,
Together at heart,
but his body I’ll miss.

The little moments.
I always feel like the thing that keeps me happy is the promise of plans for tomorrow, but I’m always disappointed because tomorrow never comes soon enough and I never realize what is right there in front of me. If I keep looking for something better and different people, I’m going to miss out on everything i am doing. Truth is, I have so many people that love me and support me, yet I turn my head the other way sometimes and search for something that’s not really out there. I am so grateful for these moments where I get to realize how great my life is. And even though there is a lot to come, I will cherish each moment.
